Not even celebrities are immune

The brother of football star Joseph Yobo, a Nigerian who plays for Everton in the Premier League, has been kidnapped in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. It has been reported that Norum Yobo was seized after he was returning to a hotel following a night out, and that as of yet there has been no communication from the hostage takers. It is unclear whether he was targeted specifically because of his brother (i.e. to get a high ransom) or if he was simply an unfortunate victim of the spate of kidnappings that has occurred in the Niger Delta lately.
